We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee;
Because by thy Holy Cross thou hast redeemed the world.
Lord, I pity your poor mother. She follows. She follows humanity on its Way of the Cross. She walks in the crowd, unknown. But she doesn't take her eyes from you. Every gesture of yours, every sigh, every wound, enters her heart. She knows your suffering.
Lord, show me your Mother, Mary. Help me to walk among my sisters and brothers on their way of the cross. May I never avert my eyes.
